The ranges utilise the unique power of peptides. However, what are peptides and how do they offer benefits to your dog? What makes this range so unique?
The development and formulation of the range has centred around the ‘Power of Peptides’ using the latest Freshtrusion® HDP technology.
Freshtrusion® HDP (Highly Digestible Protein) is the unique process of cooking fresh meat and fish ingredients in the presence of a natural enzyme, which digests (hydrolyses) the protein into a mixture of peptides and free amino acids.
By making the peptides smaller, mimicking the natural breakdown that occurs in the dog’s stomach during digestion, this increases the digestibility and bioavailability of the protein and improves palatability.
By breaking down the protein into easily digestible peptides it also makes the recipe hypoallergenic meaning there’s less chance of an allergic reaction to certain proteins.
- TOO BIG Intact protein means the dog has to work harder to digest and break down the protein.
-
TOO SMALL Singular amino acids are too small to be absorbed efficiently and may
be wasted. - JUST RIGHT Peptides (chains of 2 or 3 amino acids) are perfect to be easily digested and readily absorbed.
